There is a very unusual exhibit going on at the Albuquerque Museum this summer. It promises to be a “don’t miss” event. It will be a group exhibition of national and international artists exploring the geographical study and artistic experience of the earth. My understanding is that this will be an expression of the interaction of mankind and geography as art. I could be totally wrong, but I am definitely going to check this out.
Experimental Geography is a traveling exhibition organized and circulated by ICI (Independent Curators International), New York, and is part of a larger project of New Mexico arts organizations known as LAND/ART. The guest curator for the exhibition is Nato Thompson.
