I love the names kids come up with for things. Dinosaurseum – That is what my neighbor’s son used to call this special museum in Albuquerque. And for good reason. The New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science has a great new permanent exhibit just opened in May. It’s the only Triassic Exhibit Hall in North America and it is dedicated to the plants and animals of the Triassic Period in New Mexico and the world, and “Dawn of the Dinosaurs: New Mexico’s Triassic” covers this piece of time and the emergence of dinosaurs and mammals in what is now America’s southwest. Don’t miss this exhibit when you come to Albuquerque. You won’t see anything like it anywhere else.
