Did you know that Wonder Woman is granny age? Yup – 70 years old this year and still looking like a million bucks. This year’s Comic Con in Albuquerque is celebrating her birthday in style with an awesome star studded event.
Are you a fan of comic books, strange tv or Sci -Fi? You wanted to BE Wonder Woman or Spiderman when you grew up? You always wanted to meet the Incredible Hulk? Then Albuquerque Comic Con is the event for you.
But that’s not all! Are you Star Trek Fan? How about meeting up with Data? For the more modern aficionado of Werewolves, Shifters and Vampires, would you like to meet Sam and Pam from True Blood and cast members from the Twilight movies? Is Anime your thing? Hot Amime stars will be there too, and comic creators of some of the most popular modern comic books out there today.
Or – do you just love Halloween so much you want to dress up like your favorite Superhero fantasy character any time of the year and dance, dance, dance? No matter what’s your fancy, this Albuquerque Comic Con could be just the ticket to a fun time at the Hard Rock Casino just on the sunny south side of Albuquerque. Come in out of the cold and have some fun. It’s still a cold, dark winter and here’s a perfect way to beat the January boredom.
I found the Albuquerque Comic Con website to be a bit cumbersome, so here is the short and skinny – but you’ll have to visit their site for the full schedule.
Albuquerque Comic Con
Friday, Saturday and Sunday
January 13, 14 & 15, 2012
Hard Rock Hotel & Casino
(Exit 215 from I-25 onto 47 South, and if you miss it after that you must be blind and shouldn’t be driving. Casino is on the left)
You can still get advanced tickets here.
Oh Yeah…Bring your clubs. There’s good winter golfing at the Isleta Eagle Golf Course across the street from the Casino, with great views of the mountains and the valley.
If you’ve waited to long to book a room at the Casino Hotel, or you just want to escape to a quiet place with a huge jetted tub in your room, a Finnish Sauna outside your door and a delicious hot breakfast in the morning – we’re your place. Check out Adobe Nido Bed and Breakfast, in the heart of Albuquerque. We’re NOT your grandma’s bed and breakfast, and it’s really fast and easy to get to Albuquerque Comic Con from our b&b.
I know the best things to do in Albuquerque!
